SUNDAY WITH A CHEF
Sundays, 1-5 pm
$150 per person
You'll don a sparkling white coat and tall hat before joining Chef Dianna in the Maplethorpe kitchen for an afternoon devoted to the art of pastry making. Learn the secret of perfect puff pastry, cut and bake a dozen flaky croissants, create an elegant restaurant dessert, or bake beautiful artisan bread loaves.
Whatever our projects for the day, you'll take home some new skills and a sense of personal accomplishment as well as step-by-step recipes and photo keepsakes of your day as a chef.
'TASTE OUR ISLAND'
FARM TOUR AND COOKING DEMONSTRATION
Mondays, 1-3:30 pm
$50 per person
Meet the real people who produce our exceptional Prince Edward Island agricultural products. Imagine visiting an organic vegetable farm, a specialty mushroom grower, or a sustainable local livestock production facility. Ask questions as we tour the farm with the owners, experiencing first-hand the joys and challenges facing the modern farm.
After our tour, we'll return to Maplethorpe for an informative cooking demonstration featuring ways to use the local products we saw on the farm tour. A tasty treat awaits when we conclude by sharing a light meal and savoring the taste of Prince Edward Island.
